Il s&rsquo;agit plus pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment d&rsquo;un Hydrozoaire de la famille des Cand\u00e9labrid\u00e9s. <\/p>\n<p>Cette esp\u00e8ce est pr\u00e9sente dans la partie inf\u00e9rieure de la zone intertidale, alternativement couverte et d\u00e9couverte par la mar\u00e9e, jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 une profondeur de l&rsquo;ordre de 20 m\u00e8tres.<\/p>\n<p>Elle affectionne le milieu rocheux, et vit fix\u00e9e sous les rochers voire sur la base des laminaires.<\/p>\n<p> &nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>La Myrioth\u00e8le est identifi\u00e9e \u00e0 sa forme, ses couleurs et sa taille.<\/p>\n<p>Le corps est constitu\u00e9 de trois r\u00e9gions :<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #999999;\">&bull; <\/span>\u00e0 la base, une large sole de fixation \u00e9met des digitations assurant l&rsquo;adh\u00e9rence au support gr\u00e2ce au rev\u00eatement chitineux dont elles sont couvertes ;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #999999;\">&bull; <\/span>dans la zone m\u00e9diane, la partie fertile porte des expansions tubuleuses, chacune susceptible de supporter plusieurs structures reproductrices sph\u00e9riques et ros\u00e2tres, appel\u00e9es gonophores ;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #999999;\">&bull; <\/span>\u00e0 l&rsquo;oppos\u00e9 du substrat, une portion libre correspond au tronc de couleur brun rouge, muni de courts tentacules dont l&rsquo;extr\u00e9mit\u00e9 est renfl\u00e9e, et termin\u00e9 par la bouche.<\/p>\n<p>La forme cylindrique du corps ainsi que sa polarit\u00e9 mat\u00e9rialis\u00e9e par la sole de fixation oppos\u00e9e \u00e0 la bouche sont caract\u00e9ristiques de l&rsquo;\u00e9tat morphologique des Cnidaires appel\u00e9 polype.<\/p>\n<p>La taille des individus varie de 10 \u00e0 100 mm, selon leur \u00e9tat d&rsquo;extension. <\/p>\n<p> &nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>\u00c0 l&rsquo;instar des autres Cnidaires tels les An\u00e9mones de mer (articles des semaines <a href=\"\/codex\/semaine-21-2012\">21-2012<\/a>, <a href=\"\/codex\/semaine-12-2014\">12-2014<\/a> et <a href=\"\/codex\/semaine-13-2014\">13-2014<\/a>, <a href=\"\/codex\/semaine-15-2014\">15-2014<\/a> et <a href=\"\/codex\/semaine-16-2014\">16-2014<\/a>, <a href=\"\/codex\/semaine-17-2014\">17-2014<\/a>, <a href=\"\/codex\/semaine-24-2014\">24-2014<\/a>, <a href=\"\/codex\/semaine-25-2014\">25-2014<\/a> et <a href=\"\/codex\/semaine-26-2014\">26-2014<\/a>, <a href=\"\/codex\/semaine-42-2015\">42-2015<\/a> et <a href=\"\/codex\/semaine-43-2015\">43-2015<\/a>), la Myrioth\u00e8le est pr\u00e9datrice.<\/p>\n<p>Elle se nourrit de petits animaux marins, principalement de crustac\u00e9s comme les Amphipodes.<\/p>\n<p>Lorsqu&rsquo;une proie passe \u00e0 proximit\u00e9 des tentacules du tronc, des cellules sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9es appel\u00e9es cnidocytes sont stimul\u00e9es.<br \/>\nElles d\u00e9vaginent un filament qui se fiche dans le t\u00e9gument de la proie, jouant le r\u00f4le d&rsquo;un harpon qui permet l&rsquo;injection d&rsquo;un venin toxique.<br \/>\nLa proie immobilis\u00e9e, les tentacules du tronc l&rsquo;acheminent vers la bouche, le tronc se courbant le cas \u00e9ch\u00e9ant.<\/p>\n<p> &nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>La Myrioth\u00e8le est une esp\u00e8ce hermaphrodite : les individus portent \u00e0 la fois des gonophores m\u00e2les, produisant des spermatozo\u00efdes, et des gonophores femelles formant des ovules.<\/p>\n<p>La reproduction intervient de janvier \u00e0 septembre, voire tout au long de l&rsquo;ann\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p>La f\u00e9condation des ovules par les spermatozo\u00efdes conduit \u00e0 la formation d&rsquo;<a href=\"\/codex\/glossaire\/glossaire-de-i-a-o#oeuf\" target=\"_blank\">\u0153ufs<\/a>, qui sont maintenus dans la r\u00e9gion moyenne du corps par des tentacules \u00e0 extr\u00e9mit\u00e9 renfl\u00e9e sp\u00e9cifiques.<\/p>\n<p>Le <a href=\"\/codex\/glossaire\/glossaire-de-d-a-h#developpement-embryonnaire\" target=\"_blank\">d\u00e9veloppement embryonnaire<\/a> se d\u00e9roule au sein de l&rsquo;enveloppe de l&rsquo;\u0153uf ainsi fix\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;\u00e9closion lib\u00e8re une <a href=\"\/codex\/glossaire\/glossaire-de-i-a-o#larve\" target=\"_blank\">larve<\/a> appel\u00e9e actinula, cylindrique et poss\u00e9dant quelques tentacules.
