Il appartient au groupe des Nudibranches et plus particuli\u00e8rement \u00e0 la famille des Act\u00e9onid\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>Cette esp\u00e8ce marine \u00e9volue en milieu meuble : elle affectionne les plages sableuses abrit\u00e9es mais peut aussi \u00eatre rencontr\u00e9e dans les sables envas\u00e9s ou les sables grossiers.<\/p>\n<p>Elle est pr\u00e9sente depuis le bas de l&rsquo;<a href=\"\/codex\/glossaire\/glossaire-de-d-a-h#estran\" target=\"_blank\">estran<\/a> jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 une profondeur de 250 m\u00e8tres environ.<\/p>\n<p> &nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;Act\u00e9on enroul\u00e9 est identifi\u00e9 notamment gr\u00e2ce aux caract\u00e9ristiques de sa coquille.<\/p>\n<p>Spiral\u00e9e, \u00e9paisse et stri\u00e9e, elle a une forme ovale et un sommet pointu. Haute de 20 \u00e0 30 mm, les deux tiers de sa hauteur sont occup\u00e9s par l&rsquo;ouverture dont le bord porte une dent marqu\u00e9e.  <\/p>\n<p>Elle est vivement color\u00e9e : le fond rose ou orang\u00e9 est orn\u00e9 de bandes blanches bord\u00e9es de lignes rose fonc\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;animal peut se r\u00e9tracter enti\u00e8rement dans sa coquille et l&rsquo;obturer par un opercule triangulaire de couleur ambr\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p> &nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>Les individus sont hermaphrodites, produisant \u00e0 la fois des gam\u00e8tes m\u00e2les, les spermatozo\u00efdes, et des gam\u00e8tes femelles, les ovules.<\/p>\n<p>La reproduction intervient g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement du mois de mai au mois d&rsquo;ao\u00fbt.<br \/>\nLes spermatozo\u00efdes sont \u00e9chang\u00e9s \u00e0 la faveur d&rsquo;un accouplement. La f\u00e9condation est ainsi crois\u00e9e, les spermatozo\u00efdes d&rsquo;un individu fusionnant avec les ovules d&rsquo;un autre.<\/p>\n<p>Les <a href=\"\/codex\/glossaire\/glossaire-de-i-a-o#oeuf\" target=\"_blank\">\u0153ufs<\/a> sont ensuite d\u00e9pos\u00e9s, group\u00e9s  \u00e0 raison de 50 000 environ au sein d&rsquo;une enveloppe g\u00e9latineuse.
