Elle est form\u00e9e de sous-unit\u00e9s longues et \u00e9troites, contenant une structure basale ovale et ponctu\u00e9e. Il s&rsquo;agit de <\/a><a href=\"\/codex\/glossaire\/glossaire-de-a-a-c#cellule\" target=\"_blank\">cellules<\/a> poss\u00e9dant chacune un noyau \u00e0 sa base. Elles sont agenc\u00e9es en une unique couche, les noyaux \u00e9tant distribu\u00e9s sur une seule ligne. Elles constituent un <a href=\"\/codex\/glossaire\/glossaire-de-d-a-h#epithelium\" target=\"_blank\">\u00e9pith\u00e9lium<\/a> simple et prismatique.<br \/>\nL&rsquo;<a href=\"\/codex\/glossaire\/glossaire-de-a-a-c#apex\" target=\"_blank\">apex<\/a> des cellules appara\u00eet h\u00e9t\u00e9rog\u00e8ne, form\u00e9 de fins filaments organis\u00e9s en un feutrage dense. Il correspond \u00e0 une <a href=\"\/codex\/glossaire\/glossaire-de-a-a-c#ciliature\" target=\"_blank\">ciliature<\/a>. Elle est surmont\u00e9e d&rsquo;un discret rev\u00eatement correspondant \u00e0 une <a href=\"\/codex\/glossaire\/glossaire-de-a-a-c#cuticule\" target=\"_blank\">cuticule<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p> &nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>Sous l&rsquo;\u00e9pith\u00e9lium, la deuxi\u00e8me tunique est peu \u00e9paisse et principalement constitu\u00e9e de fibres entre lesquelles de rares structures <a href=\"\/codex\/glossaire\/glossaire-de-d-a-h#fusiforme\" target=\"_blank\">fusiformes<\/a> sont pr\u00e9sentes, ainsi que des espaces semblant vides.<br \/>\nCette organisation est caract\u00e9ristique du <a href=\"\/codex\/glossaire\/glossaire-de-t-a-z#tissu-conjonctif\" target=\"_blank\">tissu conjonctif<\/a> fibreux riche en mat\u00e9riel extracellulaire, compos\u00e9 notamment de <a href=\"\/codex\/glossaire\/glossaire-de-d-a-h#faisceau\" target=\"_blank\">faisceaux<\/a> de fibres de <a href=\"\/codex\/glossaire\/glossaire-de-a-a-c#collagene\" target=\"_blank\">collag\u00e8ne<\/a>, dans lequel sont dispers\u00e9es des cellules fusiforme \u00e0 noyau allong\u00e9, les <a href=\"\/codex\/glossaire\/glossaire-de-d-a-h#fibrocyte\" target=\"_blank\">fibrocytes<\/a>.<br \/>\nDes vaisseaux sanguins, semblables \u00e0 des lacunes, le parcourent. <\/p>\n<p> &nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>La troisi\u00e8me tunique situ\u00e9e sous le tissu conjonctif fibreux est tr\u00e8s \u00e9paisse et partiellement visible seulement. Elle comporte des unit\u00e9s allong\u00e9es perpendiculairement au plan de l&rsquo;\u00e9pith\u00e9lium, isol\u00e9es par des cloisons de tissu conjonctif fibreux. Elles sont form\u00e9es de sous-unit\u00e9s \u00e9galement allong\u00e9es, homog\u00e8nes et agenc\u00e9es en deux rang\u00e9es. Chaque sous-unit\u00e9 poss\u00e8de \u00e0 sa base une structure circulaire et ponctu\u00e9e, correspondant \u00e0 un noyau. Il s&rsquo;agit de cellules musculaires lisses distribu\u00e9es en files associ\u00e9es deux \u00e0 deux.<\/p>\n<p> &nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;organisation ainsi d\u00e9crite est caract\u00e9ristique du tube digestif : il poss\u00e8de une paroi bordant une lumi\u00e8re, constitu\u00e9e d&rsquo;un \u00e9pith\u00e9lium reposant sur un <a href=\"\/codex\/glossaire\/glossaire-de-a-a-c#chorion\" target=\"_blank\">chorion<\/a> de nature conjonctive, entour\u00e9 d&rsquo;une <a href=\"\/codex\/glossaire\/glossaire-de-i-a-o#musculeuse\" target=\"_blank\">musculeuse<\/a>.<br \/>\nL&rsquo;\u00e9paisseur des diff\u00e9rentes tuniques, la ciliature de l&rsquo;\u00e9pith\u00e9lium, la cuticule qui le recouvre ainsi que l&rsquo;agencement de la musculeuse sont caract\u00e9ristiques du <a href=\"\/codex\/glossaire\/glossaire-de-d-a-h#gesier\" target=\"_blank\">g\u00e9sier<\/a> du Lombric, un <a href=\"\/codex\/glossaire\/glossaire-de-a-a-c#annelide\" target=\"_blank\">Ann\u00e9lide<\/a> oligoch\u00e8te. La terre ing\u00e9r\u00e9e est trait\u00e9e par le tube digestif, malax\u00e9e, tritur\u00e9e, impr\u00e9gn\u00e9e de s\u00e9cr\u00e9tions, de sorte que les particules de mati\u00e8re organique qu&rsquo;elle contient sont dig\u00e9r\u00e9es et les substances produites absorb\u00e9es.
