Du bas \u00e0 droite au haut \u00e0 gauche se succ\u00e8dent une fine couche homog\u00e8ne, une \u00e9paisse tunique constitu\u00e9e d&rsquo;unit\u00e9s dissemblables, une \u00e9troite bande fibreuse et un ensemble de larges  fibres.<\/p>\n<p> &nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;\u00e9paisse tunique est form\u00e9e de quatre principaux types de structures. Toutes contiennent une unit\u00e9 circulaire ou ovale finement ponctu\u00e9e, correspondant \u00e0 un noyau. Il s&rsquo;agit de cellules animales accol\u00e9es les unes aux autres.<\/p>\n<p>De nombreuses cellules superficielles pr\u00e9sentent \u00e0 leur apex une poche vacuolis\u00e9e de taille r\u00e9duite. Elle contient un produit \u00e9labor\u00e9 par la cellule, stock\u00e9 avant d&rsquo;\u00eatre lib\u00e9r\u00e9 en surface. Cette organisation est caract\u00e9ristique de cellules \u00e0 mucus.<br \/>\nElles sont intercal\u00e9es entre des cellules \u00e9troites et hautes, \u00e0 cytoplasme homog\u00e8ne et peu color\u00e9. Ce sont des cellules de rev\u00eatement.<\/p>\n<p>Les cellules profondes ont des dimensions importantes. Le cytoplasme occupe une grande part de leur volume et contient de nombreuses granulations. Elles correspondent \u00e9galement \u00e0 des substances synth\u00e9tis\u00e9es par la cellule et temporairement accumul\u00e9es. En l&rsquo;occurrence, il s&rsquo;agit de cellules \u00e9laborant et lib\u00e9rant de l&rsquo;albumine.<\/p>\n<p>Des cellules interm\u00e9diaires poss\u00e8dent un cytoplasme intens\u00e9ment color\u00e9 et finement granuleux. Leur ph\u00e9notype est de m\u00eame de type s\u00e9cr\u00e9teur. Elle produisent les composants d&rsquo;une enveloppe appel\u00e9e cocon.<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;ensemble d\u00e9crit est form\u00e9 de cellules accol\u00e9es et agenc\u00e9es en plusieurs couches, entre lesquelles aucun mat\u00e9riel extracellulaire n&rsquo;est visible. Il s&rsquo;agit d&rsquo;un <\/a><a href=\"\/codex\/glossaire\/glossaire-de-d-a-h#epithelium\" target=\"_blank\">\u00e9pith\u00e9lium<\/a> pluristratifi\u00e9. Les cellules de rev\u00eatement sont hautes et \u00e9troites, d\u00e9terminant un \u00e9pith\u00e9lium prismatique.<br \/>\nAu contact du milieu ext\u00e9rieur, il est surmont\u00e9 d&rsquo;une fine couche correspondant \u00e0 une <a href=\"\/codex\/glossaire\/glossaire-de-a-a-c#cuticule\" target=\"_blank\">cuticule<\/a>. Il s&rsquo;agit d&rsquo;un <a href=\"\/codex\/glossaire\/glossaire-de-d-a-h#epiderme\" target=\"_blank\">\u00e9piderme<\/a>, constituant du rev\u00eatement corporel externe. Outre un r\u00f4le protecteur, il joue vraisemblablement une fonction s\u00e9cr\u00e9trice en relation avec l&rsquo;abondance des cellules s\u00e9cr\u00e9trices qu&rsquo;il comporte. <\/p>\n<p> &nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>La couche fibreuse sur laquelle repose l&rsquo;\u00e9pith\u00e9lium est un <a href=\"\/codex\/glossaire\/glossaire-de-t-a-z#tissu-conjonctif\" target=\"_blank\">tissu conjonctif<\/a> fibreux parcouru de quelques fins vaisseaux sanguins.<\/p>\n<p>Lui-m\u00eame surmonte une tunique de fibres \u00e9paisses correspondant \u00e0 des fibres musculaires lisses. <\/p>\n<p> &nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;organisation ainsi expos\u00e9e est caract\u00e9ristique du <a href=\"\/codex\/glossaire\/glossaire-de-t-a-z#tegument\" target=\"_blank\">t\u00e9gument<\/a> des segments 32 \u00e0 37 du Lombric ou Ver de terre, ayant atteint la maturit\u00e9 sexuelle. Les segments 32 \u00e0 37 d\u00e9veloppent alors un renflement t\u00e9gumentaire appel\u00e9 <a href=\"\/codex\/glossaire\/glossaire-de-a-a-c#clitellum\" target=\"_blank\">clitellum<\/a>, riche en cellules s\u00e9cr\u00e9trices.
