Elles correspondent vraisemblablement \u00e0 des structures sph\u00e9riques ou oblongues. Elles occupent un espace d\u00e9limit\u00e9 par une fine tunique fibreuse et dont le c\u0153ur semble vide.<\/p>\n<p> &nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>Les unit\u00e9s circulaires ou ovales les plus grandes apparaissent h\u00e9t\u00e9rog\u00e8nes, g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement form\u00e9es d&rsquo;une structure centrale p\u00e2le et bien d\u00e9limit\u00e9e, entour\u00e9e d&rsquo;une r\u00e9gion finement granuleuse puis d&rsquo;une zone plus dense.<br \/>\nLes plus petites ne comportent que deux r\u00e9gions, centrale p\u00e2le et ponctu\u00e9e, p\u00e9riph\u00e9rique sombre et dense.<br \/>\nToutes sont bord\u00e9es d&rsquo;un fin liser\u00e9 bleut\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p> &nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;organisation ainsi d\u00e9crite est caract\u00e9ristique des cellules eucaryotes, avec un noyau correspondant \u00e0 la structure centrale bien d\u00e9limit\u00e9e et un cytoplasme p\u00e9riph\u00e9rique parfois agenc\u00e9 en deux couches.<\/p>\n<p>En revanche, la taille de ces cellules est consid\u00e9rablement plus importante que celle observ\u00e9e g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement : la cellule du centre de l&rsquo;image a un diam\u00e8tre de l&rsquo;ordre de 500\u00b5m et son noyau de 165\u00b5m, les petites cellules de la partie sup\u00e9rieure de l&rsquo;image ont un diam\u00e8tre d&rsquo;environ 130\u00b5m pour un noyau de 45\u00b5m.<\/p>\n<p>La taille importante et variable des cellules et de leur noyau ainsi que les granulations du cytoplasme sugg\u00e8rent que les cellules d\u00e9crites sont des ovocytes.<\/p>\n<p> &nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>La coupe histologique observ\u00e9e est une coupe d&rsquo;ovaire, contenant des ovocytes \u00e0 divers stades d&rsquo;\u00e9volution.<\/p>\n<p>Les ovaires sont les gonades femelles, au sein desquelles est r\u00e9alis\u00e9e la formation des <a href=\"\/codex\/glossaire\/glossaire-de-i-a-o#ovule\" target=\"_blank\">ovules<\/a>, gam\u00e8tes femelles, appel\u00e9e ovogen\u00e8se.<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;ovogen\u00e8se est le processus conduisant des cellules germinales appel\u00e9es ovogonies aux ovules. Les ovogonies donnent naissance aux ovocytes I, cellules s&rsquo;engageant dans l&rsquo;ovogen\u00e8se, par des divisions cellulaires mitotiques.<br \/>\nLes ovocytes I r\u00e9alisent la premi\u00e8re division de la <a href=\"\/codex\/glossaire\/glossaire-de-i-a-o#meiose\" target=\"_blank\">m\u00e9iose<\/a>, et sont ainsi \u00e0 l&rsquo;origine des ovocytes II. Les ovocytes II effectuent la seconde division de la m\u00e9iose qui les transforme en ovotides. La m\u00e9iose \u00e9tant pr\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9e d&rsquo;une unique duplication du mat\u00e9riel g\u00e9n\u00e9tique, elle est responsable du passage des cellules de l&rsquo;\u00e9tat diplo\u00efde \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9tat haplo\u00efde.<br \/>\nOutre les ph\u00e9nom\u00e8nes nucl\u00e9aires de la m\u00e9iose, l&rsquo;ovogen\u00e8se comporte g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement un accroissement important, consistant en l&rsquo;accumulation de r\u00e9serves m\u00e9taboliques et informationnelles d\u00e9sign\u00e9e par le terme vitellogen\u00e8se. <\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;ovaire ayant fait l&rsquo;objet de la coupe est d\u00e9limit\u00e9 par une enveloppe externe fine, et les ovocytes qu&rsquo;il contient \u00e9galement. Le centre de l&rsquo;organe appara\u00eet par contre vide. Cette organisation est celle d&rsquo;un ovaire creux.<br \/>\nLes ovaires creux sont rencontr\u00e9s chez diff\u00e9rents Vert\u00e9br\u00e9s. En l&rsquo;occurrence, il s&rsquo;agit d&rsquo;un ovaire de Triton, animal du groupe des Lissamphibiens.<br \/>\nDans ce groupe, l&rsquo;accroissement se produit lors de la prophase de la premi\u00e8re division de m\u00e9iose, en deux phases appel\u00e9es pr\u00e9vitellogen\u00e8se et vitellogen\u00e8se.
